So what happens to my immigration case during the government “shutdown”? Well, it’s complicated. The immigration courts will be closed. You should check for updates at AILA.org and the U.S. Department of Justice
If your case is scheduled for a hearing during the governmental shut-down, it will almost certainly be postponed. Other filing deadlines and appointments will happen so you have to try to find out for yourself or ask your lawyer or call us at FIDE Law, PLC if you’re not sure and need a lawyer.

Si tenga cita de corte durante el cierre, será trasladada casi sin duda a otra fecha. Otras citas y fechas límites por contrario, sí tendrán lugar, y se debe buscar noticias o avisos en recursos en línea.
